Well, it’s a new year. One of my resolutions is to post at least once a day… Well, so much for resolutions; but, I am going to try and write more. Maybe somebody is actually reading this stuff.
Predictions: I like to occasionally listen to “am coast to coast”. Every year they do a predictions show. It’s pretty cool. So, here are some of the things I think will happen this year.
1 This thing in Gaza will escalate quickly, which it has (Some prediction, huh?); but, it will go away just as quick. They will make some kind of deal. That’s what they do over there.
2 When Obama takes over in January, the country will get a renewed sense of patriotism and we will actualy do real well… until about April. Then, the shit will hit the fan.
3 The three bigs – Ford, Chrysler, and GM — will be in the brink of collapse by June. Then, two of the three will merge. Ford will be the odd man out and by November will declare bankruptcy.
4 A major natural disaster will occur on US soil before October 2009 that will change the way we live forever. Either an earthquake in the Midwest, or a volcanic eruption at Yellowstone; but, it wont be as bad as we first thought (IE, global killer).

I’m so sick of hearing about Joe the plumber.
With only 11 days left, John McCain has built his whole campaign around a man who doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of starting a plumbing business.
Now, I’m all for the “American Dream” of starting a business, but you have to have a plan! Maybe Joe’s plan was to make an off-the-wall comment about buying his boss’ business when he knows he has no chance of buying it, and getting his 15 mins of fame while hoping some rich rep will back him so McCain can show the world how great his policies are and how bad Obama’s are.
As for Joe, I hope it works out for him. I read somewhere that somebody has paid his back taxes… but for the McCain camp to pin their hopes on this “fake” question just shows John McCain is only grasping at straws.

Hello I am the Wattman.
After months of my wife telling me I should start a blog, well here it goes!
Well were do I start? The DOW just closed down -678, for the day. The ninth straight day all three major market indicators have finished in the neg.
What the hell is happening? Are we looking at the next GREAT DEPRESSION. I don’t know about all that; but, I do know that Everyone I know or come in contact with is hurting. I think we are living in very scary Times. Now this is my first post on my first blog sooooo. I think that’s enough for now.
But, fear not! The Wattman has plenty more to say!
